Benton Park Dog Park Committee
Chair: Hayley Johnston
The mission of the Benton Park Dog Park is to foster positive community engagement by providing a safe, fenced environment for owners and their dogs to exercise, socialize, and train. It is our aim to promote responsible pet ownership. For more information, visit bentonparkdogpark.com.
Safety committee
Chair: Derrick Kilgore | Email
Neighborhood safety is the focus of this committee, and research has shown that lighting makes a difference in crime levels. Periodically, groups of neighbors walk the streets and note areas where streetlights or porch lights are out or malfunctioning. The committee works with our Stabilization Officer and our assigned police officer to report, investigate and monitor any criminal activity. Recent efforts have focused upon developing a database of neighbors with street video cameras that can be called upon by police when investigating crimes.
Membership committee
Chair: William Aungnst | Email
Want to connect with your community? Do you wish you had more social meet-ups? We are starting neighborhood clubs and specific interest groups for Benton Park Neighborhood Association Members. The BPNA Membership Committee seeks to recruit new members and retain current members. We track current members, host the membership drive, and attend BPNA events to promote membership. Now, we are turning our focus to becoming a resource for BPNA members to connect over shared interests.
